Surfing under the Auroras

We're from Cape Town.  So we dig it chilly.

I that last post I didn't mention that my second session was in boardies.  It's nippy when you get in.  But, the waves and the water clarity make it almost tropical.  It's like one of your senses is cheating  you.

Anyway, we think we're tough, but we should do well to acknowledge that we only get mid-table respectability in the hardcore leagues.  There are places on the frayed edges of the map that are way more tough than we are.

Like Iceland.

And again, as much as we marvel at our natural beauty, places like this seem other worldly.

from the Telegraph
That's Alek Parker under Aurora Borealis.  Imagine what it would be like seeing that from the backline, or coming out of the barrel.  We may well soon see something like it.

And what about Aurora Australis, the Southern Lights?  I'm sure given time, they will come to light as well.
